Work with other programmers and managers to determine what support is needed.This is not a remote position and must report to Brockport for the workday.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related discipline.1-2 years of experience in programming in C#, T-SQL, SQL Server, .NET MVC, .NET CORE, WinForms and 3rd party controlsPREFERRED SKILLS: C#, SQL Server, .NET MVC, .NET CORE, Web API, Git, WinFormsMS Visual StudioWeb development experienceSQL Server; Trans SQL; Stored procedure development; Database design & creationZebra Barcode scanners, Label printers, Wireless computing devicesCData for QuickBooks integration toolsPC I/O devices; USB, COM, Serial portsBit Bucket – repositoryTeam City – deploymentThird Party Controls, DLLs & APIs, Dev Express (Grids, Forms, XPO, All other WinForms controls)DEVELOPMENT ENVIRONMENT: 2-person development team working collaboratively on a proprietary ERP solution for the electronics recycling industry.Primary development will be working on a new Web based project with a SQL Server databaseWireless Motorola/Zebra scanners (MC9XXX) used for warehouse & inventory controlDevelopment team is responsible for:Product developmentVersion controlRemote updates for usersProblem resolution from user experiencesData base administration.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift 50 lbs.Required to sit for long periods of time.WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office/Warehouse/Production environmentDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists in the design and implementation of new applications.Works with others in developing and implementing support software.Debugs and maintains programs.Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.Writes new documentation and maintains old documentation to reflect current program status.Evaluates user requests for new or modified computer processes to determine feasibility, and what platform would be best suited for the process.Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.Identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives.Supports users by providing new data reporting, processes, workflows, screens and tools for users.Formulates plan outlining steps required to develop program and submit for approval.Converts project specifications into sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language understandable by computer.Enters program code into computer system. Enters commands into computer to run and test program.Replaces, deletes, or modifies code to correct errors. Performs maintenance requests for problems.Analyzes, reviews, and alters program to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.Writes documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections.
