The mission of the Partner Success team in Product & Partner Operations is to develop meaningful vendor strategy and relationships that will optimize the greater operational supply chain and protect for resources and flexibility to fulfill tasks seamlessly and cost-effectively.
As a Vendor Engagement Manager, you will be pivotal in Netflix achieving our goal of driving more business to our vendor network. You will own decisions on how Operations can scale significant spend in annual vendor costs to find win-win solutions for Netflix and the vendors we partner with.
In this role, you will:
Navigate complex business and technology relationships and work to establish standards and set engagement strategy.
Be a collaborative informed captain who excels in peer-to-peer and executive level communication, both internally at Netflix and with your partners.
Inform business decisions based on data and metrics.
Set strategy with our vendor network. You will have a knack for identifying and prioritizing items for Operations and/or shortcomings in the vendor sourcing workflow and propose solutions.
Collect, analyze, and implement data to find solutions. In this role you will be expected to identify and communicate the ROI of current deals, coupled with information from vendors on issues Netflix faces (i.e. vendor consolidation/exclusivity), and evolve our current deal portfolio to increase its impact.
Foster strong partnerships with various teams across the business. You will be highly effective individually and cross functionally, with an ability to thought-partner at all levels to find solutions and have courage to put forth new and/or different ideas.

The ideal candidate has:
Experience building & managing long-term strategic relationships with leading operational and fulfillment vendors.
A passion for metrics and a track record for using data to drive decision-making.
Strong knowledge of complex deal structures. You know when to tap in partners from Legal, Finance, Planning, etc. when it comes to the areas that are new to you. You have navigated challenging situations before, and bring that growth-oriented approach to each project you tackle.
World class negotiating skills with the ability to challenge the status quo.
