The Arc is a non-profit agency that serves children and adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We have been active in the Chambersburg community since the 1950’s. We offer various services and programs to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities have the life they want. Direct care professionals are essential to the lives of the individuals that we serve. They can assist individuals in completing daily tasks, participating in community activities, providing relief for caregivers and so much more!We are urgently hiring for a Van Driver. The Arc has 4 transportation routes to take clients to and from their day program. The Van Driver will need to be able to drive a back loading wheelchair van, be able to push a wheelchair up a ramp, comply with COVID-19 procedures and be able to work a split shift. Times vary based on the route. Morning routes can run from approximately 6:30-8:30 am. Afternoon routes can run from 2:45pm – 4:45pm van driver will be working about 15hrs per week, with possible chance of increased hrs.This is a permanent position with The Arc. Hours may vary per week based on route coverage needs.
