American Beauty, a Neighborhood Steakhouse, seeks a Sous chef to complete our management team. We are looking for a sous chef who shares our passion for excellent food and technical service – a candidate that will drive the team through prep and fast-paced daytime and dinner services.Our family of restaurants includes Superba Food + Bread in Venice, Superba Snacks + Coffee Pasadena + North Hollywood, as well as Pitfire Pizza throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. We are committed to a chef- and product-driven menu, warm hospitality, and cutting-edge design. Be a first part of this new concept and join an amazing team!YOU POSSESS:· Experience as a sous chef or kitchen manager· Strong leadership capability with an emphasis on leading by example· Unmatched professionalism and the highest standards for cleanliness and organization· Advanced knife skills· Experience with labor management, costing and recipe development· Strong problem-solving skills, communication and time management ability· A focus on the details, especially food quality, food safety and sanitation· An active ServSafe Food Safety Certificate· A flexible schedule.
