What You’ll Do
You will work closely with Periscope leadership and diverse McKinsey team members to define, set-up and manage the solution delivery processes.
In this role, you will work on more than one project at any point in time and you will be at the core of bridging client business challenges with Periscope’s capabilities. You will work with Periscope leadership and client representatives in joint problem-solving sessions and define the project scope as well as staffing requirements. You will also enable process improvements to gain efficiencies and enable a faster transition to steady-state through driving the discussions with the product development team by providing ongoing feedback on solutions and opportunities to enhance/add features.
You will support clients in their usage of Periscope solution and engage with client sponsors as well as program leadership on a regular basis to drive user adoption as well as drive the process of converting and enriching client raw data and deliver the insights related to the business challenges at stake. You will develop and execute end-to-end project management activities including scoping and requirements across implementation, deployment and client success phases of the project, meticulously planning team tasks and tracking them to completion while closely monitoring risks, issues and resolving team conflicts. Furthermore, you will execute the project with agreed requirements (cost, schedule, functionality, customer satisfaction) and professional stakeholder management to ensure business success and customer value. You will monitor and communicate the progress of project delivery. You will ensure timely and effective communication of project status, schedule, cost and assessment of risks/issues.
Given the pace of this role, you will manage relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional teams throughout the project life cycle. You will also coach and mentor junior team members by sharing business, functional and technical expertise.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree; MBA is a plus
12+ years of relevant and professional work experience as a manager accustomed to acting as the interface of business and technology in an agile and fast-changing environment
Experience managing the implementation and/or solution deployment program and/or ongoing operations in the service industry
Strong project management skills (on time, within budget, according to scope and with flexibility when required, etc.)
Strong knowledge of working with large databases, data visualization tools, IT solution applications; exposure to marketing and sales function is desirable
Creative problem-solving skills; comfortable with handling risks and dealing with ambiguous situations
Strict compliance with initial budget and planning, managing any delays or overruns with service line
Strong communications and negotiation skills that can be employed to build relationships and achieve goals
Comfortable working with all levels of management; ability to critically evaluate and communicate business issues/risks with conviction to client and partners
Ability to act as a thought-partner to clients, client project teams, leaders and partners
Strong analytical and strategic focus; ability to drive exploration and draw conclusions from multiple data sources
Keen understanding of process and knowledge of key client service processes (data management and solution support); ability to incorporate business context to present and describe technical functionalities to that less-versed in technology
