Working Hours: Mon-Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Head Office based Marketing Team for a Social Media/Marketing Assistant.
The role will be mainly focused around building our organic social media following and interactions as well as being at the forefront of our customer communications and assisting the Marketing team in day to day tasks.
You will need to have office experience, understand how to use Power Point, Word and Excel, have a keen eye for detail and the desire to learn new platforms and understand customer behaviours. You should be social media savvy and be prepared to come up with creative ideas for content.
It is not necessary to have a Marketing background as long as you have the attributes listed above and enjoy working as part of a close knit and friendly team, then we think you will fit right in!
To assist the Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Executive and Creative Designer on all campaigns and activities with particular responsibility for social media and email campaigns.
To provide an administrative support to the Marketing Manager.
Update social media channels regularly and coherently, using on brand language and messages
Source and produce engaging, up to date, relevant and interesting content for various social media platforms and news stories.
Drive and manage social media campaigns from content creation and scheduling to implementation and monitoring.
Research competitor activity
Assist with the creation of weekly email campaigns for all brands including building the email in a third party platform and loading customer data into the portal.
Managing unsubscribe information from email campaigns
Perform administrative duties required by the Marketing department.
Actively participate as a member of the team, and assist in helping to achieve the team goals
Effectively manage own time and resources to ensure all tasks are completed effectively
Any additional duties that may from time to time be required by the Company which are deemed to be within the scope of the employee.
Understanding of marketing principles, developments and new techniques
Understanding of organic social media
Time management and organisation skills
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of audience and products
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written – and capable of creative thinking
Copy writing, proof reading and attention to detail
Strong analytical skills and awareness of digital platforms and online platforms
Effective interpersonal skills and team-working
Computer literate with good knowledge of IT including Office packages, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Office experience with good work ethic
Deliver high quality marketing materials requiring minimal edits/amendments which align with the brand they are intended
Contributes in a positive way to the success of the marketing team by supporting marketing plans to be implemented on time and on budget
Successfully plans, organises and executes their designated campaigns whilst ensuring quality of output is maintained at all times.
