WHAT YOU’LL DOSOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIES*In conjunction with the Marketing Director, oversee the GRAMMY Museums social media plan and execution of the strategyManagement of all the Museums social channels, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, Yelp, and other mediums as arise, including writing copy, scheduling, and identifying organic opportunities as it relates to external trends and eventsVet new social channels and opportunities for the Museum to integrate into social strategySet up social ad campaigns in conjunction with our digital marketing vendor.Develop strategies to increase the Museums followers and engagementDevelop strategies for marketing all the Museums programs, including exhibitions, public programs, and education and community engagement events, on social channelsWork with artist publicists and management to develop cross-promotional plans for public programs and exhibitionsWorking with the Communications department, highlight earned mediaDevelop deep relationships with partner organizations, such as AEG, the Recording Academy, and other museums to cross-promote and leverage their digital and social footprintsAlong with the Marketing Director and Graphic Designer, provide input for photoshoots and video production for use on all social channels and the websiteDIGITAL MEDIA RESPONSIBILITIESWorking with the Director of Digital Media, create long-form social content to be published on our channelsWork closely with the Curatorial Department to develop and roll out interactive and social components to the Museums exhibits on all social channelsManage live digital content, such as Instagram Lives, for each department*EMAIL RESPONSIBILITIES**Manage all the Museums email outreach efforts and scheduling, including weekly member and general newsletters, monthly education newsletter, quarterly affiliate newsletters, and other emails as necessary*ANALYTICS & OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES**Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Museum’s entire digital presence via Sprout Social, Facebook analytics, Universe, Tessitura, and other platformsCreate and distribute a monthly digital report to senior management, including metrics and benchmarks to guide our success toward achieving well-defined goalsWorking closely with the Marketing Director and others to effectively use social media advertising, Google AdWords, and other tools, ensuring activity aligns with campaigns and supports objectivesStay current on all digital and social media related trendsDevelop and execute strategies to support the Museums fundraising efforts, including Giving TuesdayDevelop and execute strategies to leverage the Museum’s digital media footprint to tell the story of our positive social impact on our communityActive relationship building in the non-profit, museum, and music industries*SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**Bachelor degree in marketing, communications, or closely related field5-7 years of marketing experience, particularly in music and social mediaAbility to work nights and weekends for events and other functions that support the MuseumCRM experience is a plusGenuine excitement to work in a non-profit museumLove of music and educationAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environmentAbility to work with high-profile people in a professional manner*PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR CERTAIN ROLES*The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
