The Mom Project is excited to partner with our client, a focused Venture Capital firm in Chicago, San Francisco and New York in their search for a Social Media Manager!
The Social Media Manager will coordinate and execute the company’s social media marketing for their upcoming Summit and their affiliate company. The objective is to expand their daily Newsletter and the reach of their global audience beyond 30,000 today.
The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller, quick-witted, highly motivated, and creative individual. They have experience with and a passion for connecting with their community of EdTech Entrepreneurs, Educators, Investors and corporate partners to drive impactful discussion around our core themes.
Social Media Manager Responsibilities
Hone the brand voice and embrace the company narrative to infuse a distinct point-of-view across all social media posts, conversations and communities
Oversee social media strategy (organic and paid) and planning, manage social media content calendar to grow their engaged community of followers across social platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and TikTok)
Grow their presence on new and developing social media platforms (TikTok, Clubhouse, etc.) in collaboration with marketing leadership
Develop reports and reporting process to deliver results to marketing team
In collaboration with marketing team, maintain the content calendar and ensure all campaigns are pushed across social media and/or promoted through paid social advertising
Promote event speakers and sponsors by engaging with and amplifying their content and participation in their Summit
Engage Venture fund portfolio companies on social media by amplifying their content
Employ unique strategies to engage our client’s discerning audiences, run social promotions, contests and giveaways
Support SEO initiatives as directed by Marketing Leadership
Optimize personal network and team’s network to expand audience
Qualifications and Skills
BS in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field
2-4 years proven experience working with social media
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
Goal-oriented, deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Highly proficient in all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and social media aggregator tools (HubSpot, Sprout Social, etc.)
Proficient in design tools for social (Canva, Photoshop)
Familiarity with international markets on social is a huge plus
