JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Title: RECORDS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST I (EDITOR)City: Hyattsville / State: MarylandPosition SummaryPerform administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, mail processing, and copying to support the successful processing of adverse medical event reports submitted to the FDA.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: *Processing FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) documents.Process mail: Open the mail, document the postmark date, place the office received to date, and print scanning barcode sheets.Copy reports for correspondence or for other administrative purposes.Sort and file the many different types of reports.Scan/proofread documents as needed.detect errors of spelling, punctuation, and syntaxSUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES: Proofread/enter reports to meet contract deliverables.Serve as back up for the phone analyst fielding telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner.Provide back-up support for scanning reportsPerform requested administrative functions as directed by the management team.Participate in team meetings to continuously examine and improve current processes.Skills and Abilities RequiredMust have experience with processing FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) documents.Prior proofreading/editing experience which includes mail processing.Highly organized and attention to detail.Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a team-oriented setting.Must pass the data entry typing test of 40 wpm with no more than 2 errors.Creativity and good visual sense.Minimum Education and Experience Required*High School Diploma.*Three (3) years of related experience and two (2) years of direct experience processing documents.Must have experience with processing FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) documents.HeiTech Services, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer providing equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local lawsJOB REQUIREMENTSMust have experience with processing FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) documents.Prior proofreading/editing experience which includes mail processing.Highly organized and attention to detail.Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks in a team-oriented setting.Must pass the data entry typing test of 40 wpm with no more than 2 errors.Creativity and good visual sense.Job Type: Full-time
