Job Details
Description
The Business Education K12 portfolio will consist of courses and curriculum that enable youth to explore and engage with compelling business, technology, strategy and entrepreneurship concepts in a hands-on, project-driven, STEM focused format.

The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we effectively scale our operations and delight our participants as we grow rapidly. Your responsibility is to ensure that we’re optimizing the program pilot (year 1), ensuring product-market fit, innovating content and formats, and iterating to find the right fit for our audience. In this role, you’ll identify key opportunities for content integration as well as help develop and execute the student experience and program delivery strategy to grow this line of business.

You’ll research the landscape of online learning experiences to understand best practices and what’s cutting-edge while helping define the opportunities and challenges of our approaches. You’ll then use that research to build a roadmap to experiment, implement, and test new product features. With an analytical approach and a deep understanding of the curricula, you will connect our programs to customer needs to ensure a learning experience that consistently exceeds expectations.

The candidate must exhibit an ability to engage stakeholders across the organization, think critically about relevant content for the K12 audience, navigate an ambiguous environment, and define metrics for success. This role is a unique opportunity to help the youth audience connect with dynamic business content to better define pathways for future studies and careers.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy:
Work with key stakeholders to inform the portfolio strategy and approach.
Understand the pre-college landscape, iD Tech value proposition, current operational constraints, and learner/parent expectations to guide optimal program experience to drive NPS, retention, completion rates, referrals, and LTV.
Operational Scalability:
Leverage data and analysis to uncover new problems and identify opportunities to improve products as they are delivered in the pilot.
Apply deep critical thinking to thorny problems, ask the hard questions and translate insights to create the right solutions.
Ongoing Optimization:
Establish and maintain feedback mechanisms with marketing, admissions, design, and delivery teams to regularly assess the health of programs and drive improvements in the student experience.
Define KPIs, measure impact, and keep stakeholders informed of progress toward team and company goals.
Hire and manage a high performing team of product managers to scale your area and impact (when the time is right).

Skills:

Growth Mindset: The ability to support the growth of the program pilot to its full potential.
Product Mindset: Innate excitement to build an industry-leading pre-college, exploratory suite of business courses. Flexible and scrappy, always ready to experiment and learn from failure.
Learner Empathy: Deeply understand our customers, their needs, hopes, motivations, challenges, etc.
Track Record of Success: Proven ability to solve complex problems with multiple stakeholder teams and deliver value to users and the business overall.
Core Analytics: Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, user interviews, A/B tests, etc. Consolidate analytics and insights into meaningful recommendations.
Cross-Functional Leadership and Relationships: Collaborate with Tech Product, Outreach, Design, Operations, Recruiting, and other functions to drive priority initiatives impacting program performance.
Influencer: Build thoughtful and detailed models and narratives to support business cases and prove/disprove hypotheses.

Job Requirements:

8+ years of overall experience, 3+ years’ experience as a product manager, ideally with 2+ years of experience in the EdTech, K12 or higher education space.
Experience conducting, synthesizing and sharing customer and user research.
Experience influencing product and operational strategy.
Track record of delivering measurable results, leveraging data and analytics.
Marketing experience is a plus.
