Job Description

We are looking for a Sous Chef in a private residence in San Francisco. The Sous Chef is to assist the Chef in ensuring the house is fully stocked with healthy, nutritious food and providing meals for all members of the family and their guests.Specifically, the Sous Chef will need to assist the Chef with the following:Keep all refrigerators and pantries fully stocked with food, snacks and drinks.Help Chef cook and meal prepping for the family and their guestsProvide creative and delicious cuisine and service for all entertaining and eventsAssist in creating menus for all dinner parties and events in the homeMaintain all guest preferences and dietary restrictionsPlacing orders and connecting with suppliers bi weeklyInspect all shipments of food coming in, wash, remove labels and stock all refrigerators, and swap out old from newMake breakfast and pack lunches for three childrenMaintain an organized kitchenThe Sous Chef will need to:Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, time management, and customer service skillsBe able to work with a large household teamExtremely organized, professional attitude, takes in the moment feedback, flexible, problem solverBe able to receive direct feedback from Principals, Chief of Staff, and Chef.Classic basic training in American/Italian foodHave worked in either a Michelin star restaurant or luxury environmentThe schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, usually 8-9 hour shifts per day.
