We are seeking a customer service oriented Patient Collections Representative for our Patient Assistance Center located in Owings Mills, MD. This position is responsible for reducing our aged receivables with our patients and handling incoming inquiries regarding patient bills.
Collections Representative Responsibilities:
Answer incoming patient billing inquiries about payment processing, insurance payments, and statements.
Contact our patients on balances due and resolve any patient billing inquiries.
Verify contractual payments on accounts and process payment plans.
Follow up on self-pay balances through work lists- Pre-collection, budget, and hardship.
Maintain database of patient information by entering or editing data for registration, insurance, charges, payments, adjustments, or electronic/paper billing.
Process Notice of Procedures in coordination with the Pre-Certification department.
Perform other office duties as assigned by manager.
