The Order Entry Specialist will perform critical tasks and manage their workload in order to meet customer expectations and the production and planning team to establish correct timelines. The individual is responsible for managing and improving the administrative tasks in the Order Support. This position requires great attention to detail, excellent time management and strong communication skills.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnter orders within 24 – 48 hours accurately into the ERP systemConduct self-guided research to become familiar with what products are available as well as their costs and benefitsManage order acknowledgment process sending to customersKeep very organized on order entry and system managementTake corrective action when defective goods are receivedReport product and material availability issues when requestedAdminister the process for updating or creating new customers managing master data in accordance with department rulesProcess, review, and send customer invoices ensuring accuracyMonitor Order Support Department general email box and 800 phone line; forward emails, process sales leads, and respond to messages accordinglyManage Salesforce leads assigned to customer service providing customers with requested information or reassigning the sales lead to the appropriate individualAdminister monthly metrics reports in various systems and distribute timelyActively provide feedback for department/process improvementsProvide support to sales team and planning and shipping teamComplete special projects as assignedThe ideal candidate will have the following skills:Proven experience in order entryMust be highly organizedMust be very confident in your overall computer and remote working skillsWorking knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems, and SalesforceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong analytical mindsetDemonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervisionProfessional demeanor, reliable, personable, trustworthy and a team playerHigh sense of urgency in order to meet timelinesExcellent computer skills: Microsoft Office 365, ERP system; Salesforce experience a plusMinimum of 3 years’ order entry experience requiredTransportation & Logistics international experience requiredExperienceOrder Entry: 3 years (Required)Data entry: 1 year (Preferred)Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)Chemicals industry: 1 year (Preferred)Accounting; 1 year (Preferred)EducationHigh School Diploma requiredBSc/BA in business administration or relevant field preferredSaint-Gobain provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws.
