As the Manager Events UK & Nordics, you will manage events for the franchises in country. This encompasses the entire operational processes related to events, ensuring a “Best in Class” service is created and maintained. You will do this through implementing solutions to further develop, maintain and improve Franchise/Healthcare Professional (HCP) satisfaction, maximise cost efficiencies, particularly around flights & logistics, and ensure adherence throughout the changing compliance regulations within Europe by collaborating with the relevant SMEs. You will have a focus on continuous improvement, sharing best practices and ensuring alignment across local events management teams in Europe.

What you will do:
Manage the team members – in geographical locations across UK and Nordics – training of new team members, running team meetings when needed, recruitment when required, responsible for the team members’ performance management, team development and succession plans
Ensure fair distribution of the workload to ensure capacity is used effectively and consistently
Supervise team members to work with the new Center of Excellence for Events Europe cross functions (Logistics & Invoicing, Professional Affairs)
Business Partner to the assigned Franchise in Europe – first point of call for European events dealing with bigger meetings – ESM, MYSM, EU Educational events
The Event Manager will liaise with all the major functions of the business such as Business Units, Compliance, Finance and more to achieve key activities on a local, European and / or cross-divisional level.
Work with all virtual event platforms required by the business and ensure the events planning team are fully trained and able to support the requirements of the business for virtual and face to face activity as the environment changes and evolves
Ensures regular review of processes to ensure updates and adaptation to any country specific and EU regulations, compliance policies, including review and improvements to any digital platforms being used.
Ensure budget tracking for events managing and overall team adherence to centralized processes
Ensuring all KPI’s are monitored effectively and achieved. Including year-end stats to support the Senior Events Manager in presenting to management.
Ensures all HCP information is stored effectively with GDPR and Compliance policies in mind
Ensures all Compliance, SOX, FCPA and Quality policies are implemented and applied in any undertaking of events planning.

What you need:
College equivalent qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Demonstrable experience of events management, including people and project management experience.
Ability to work out of standard working hours to meet the event requirements as required and flexibility to travel to support events onsite
Confidence with virtual event platforms and their features
Fluent in English, additional languages beneficial but not essential
Work experience in a Medical Device/Pharmaceutical company is a plus
Knowledge of MedTech Europe Compliance – is also an important advantage
Good excel working knowledge Experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders across multiple locations
Used to working with complex requirements
Good problem-solving skills
