Job Description

Reservation is the beating heart of many Amadeus products: it handles critical steps on trip reservation including booking, ticketing, PNR/TTR management etc. We are accountable for our unique reservation platform, which is used both by Airlines and Distribution actors. With the travel industry rapidly changing, RES organization is involved in key on-going and new projects from business units (e.g. New Distribution Capability, Offer and Order Management Systems) and technical challenges like migration to the Cloud.
TCM department owns the components that are responsible for issuing and managing contracts. Our organization is the link between several worlds: Reservation, Pricing, Ticketing and Accounting. This is a global organization with developers, business analysts, quality engineers and devops engineers teams in three sites: Bangalore, Nice and Sydney.
We are looking for a dynamic and influential individual to lead the TCM team in Bangalore: Ticketing Assets and Order. This team owns various components within RES Ticketing and contributes to top priority projects of Amadeus: NDC-X, Airline IT and Airline Distribution ticketing products, SSI, Cloud migration, etc.
Lead a team of software engineers, business analysts, QA engineers responsible for analyzing user needs and design, code, validate, document and maintain software solutions for Reservation Ticketing
Collaborate with relevant divisions within Amadeus (ALT-ORR, TEC-SSP, TPE) and other teams of Reservations.
Promote the agile mind-set in the team and department;
Participate actively to the recruitment and coaching of new members in the department;
Empower team members;
Motivate and guide team members to stretch and expand their own capabilities;
Define and share the vision for the team according to the department/division/company objectives.
Skill Set:
Hands-on experience on leading a team as techno-functional manager for at least 7 direct reports
Relationship and team building skills
Strong Analytical skills
Proactive and forward thinking, flexibility and ability to multi-task
Track record of achieving high-quality software deliveries and meeting commitments
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrates resourcefulness and resilience in the face of change, obstacles and adversity. Updates knowledge and skills to handle new complexities, challenges & responsibility
Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Innovative thinker capable of communicating technical concepts clearly to different audiences
Strong technical expertise in C++, Linux development, production and maintenance activities is a plus
Travel industry functional expertise is a plus
Overall at least 12 years of experience and at least 3 years of people management experience
