The L’Oréal USA 12-Month Junior Marketing Associate program allows creative visionaries and strategic thinkers to enhance their marketing knowledge in a fast-paced and hands-on environment across various specific functions:

Social Media/Influencer/PR
The JMA program is a paid opportunity for candidates who have graduated with a degree within the last 12 months and is able to work up to 40 hours per week. In your application, you will be allowed to select which functions you most identify with. Learn more about each of them below.

Global Marketing & Product Development
Support ideation and development of new product innovations for the future. Work closely with L’Oreal’s labs in the creation of new formulas, collaborate with packaging teams to innovate for the best consumer usability and connect with global markets to ensure we are on top of the latest trends.
Report information on the latest products, and insights across platforms (social media, blog, print/digital magazines).
Continuously research and compile information about competitive new launches, advertising, and formulas. Present competitive findings to team and brand managers.
Support product ideation and development of our new launches and innovations. Propose need gaps based on analysis, help generate ideas and write creative concepts for new products.
Assist in preparation for team/brand meetings, including bi-yearly trends presentation to Global CEO.
Administrative support.
Lead your own, individual strategic projects and present their findings & business recommendations to the team.
US Marketing
Collaborate on the development and execution of 360 marketing plans to grow share on key pillars; contribute to the design of business strategies to accomplish brand goals and drive sales.
Support the marketing team in the development and execution of Promotional Calendars
Collaborate with internal digital team on marketing goals and digital strategies
Work with stores teams on merchandising strategies and store activations
Participate in forecasting (Demand Planning led) & budget (Finance led) meetings to ensure accuracy
Participate in monthly meetings with Global Development teams to influence launch calendar and execution, sharing insights & learnings from US business
Assist in preparation for team/brand meetings, including bi-yearly trends presentation to Global CEO.
Administrative support.
Lead your own, individual strategic projects and present their findings & business recommendations to the team.
Are you interested in Digital?
Support building and executing strategies in any of the following: Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Data Driven Marketing (DDM), and Merchandising through various experiences on specific teams such as eRetail, Owned Site, Amazon, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Loyalty, or Data Driven Marketing (DDM).
Relevant experience/internships/exposure to content marketing, web strategy, CRM (email marketing), SEO, eRetail or related position
Understanding of or exposure to search engine algorithms and ranking methods
Assist in new activations and media strategy
Focus on driving brand awareness and the digital consumer journey
Report information on the latest media spend tracking, digital competitive insights/research, media mix percentages, and ROI
Present competitive findings to team and brand managers.
Assist in preparation for team/brand meetings, including bi-yearly trends presentation to Global CEO.
Administrative support.
Lead your own, individual strategic projects and present their findings & business recommendations to the team.
Are you interested in Social Media, Influencer, or PR?
Build brand awareness and develop strategies across social platforms, source new influencers, and/or support on the execution of PR events.
Manage influencer requests: including, but not limited to, identifying, sourcing, and contracting talent and any additional shoot logistics. Support on standard influencer agreements with legal, team and agencies
Provide support, guidance and best practices to drive social strategies, brand presence and marketing plans
Monitor social conversation, interact, and engage with customers through social media channels, and respond on behalf of the brand
Aid in weekly analytics tracking utilizing a suite of tools
Contribute to the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of brand’s social platform activity
Assist with competitor and influencer research for presentations, story boards, ideas and internal benchmarking
Participate in the creative process for social media photography and video production, ensuring content is based on social analytics
Monitor and pitch social trends to keep content relevant, fresh, and best-in-class
Assist in preparation for team/brand meetings, including bi-yearly trends presentation to Global CEO.

Beyond the Junior Marketing Associate program?
Successful completion of the program, as well as excellent demonstrated performance, entitles participants for top consideration and placement into the Pepiniere, Management Trainee Program.
Requirements:
Recent graduate (within 12 months) of a BA degree in a marketing or digital related field.
Previous internship related to social media, marketing or digital is a plus
Legally authorized to work in the US on a fulltime, permanent, and ongoing basis without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Self-starter and capable of working under minimum supervision
Well-developed computer skills, including Word, Excel and Power Point required
Ability to manage, prioritize multiple assignments and work efficiently while remaining flexible to unforeseen changes in direction
Flexibility to commute back and forth to the location of the specific Junior Marketing Associate role, New York/New Jersey area OR Los Angeles, California. [Note:] relocation stipends will not be provided by L’Oreal for these roles.
