You will work as the learning lead to business partner with a growing area of the Asda business to ensure that their learning needs are understood and met through the development of a strategic learning plan. You will work closely with senior leaders in the function, partnering with the HR Business Partners along the way, to understand their capability needs and work with the wider Asda Learning team to ensure that these are met.
The function you will partner is on a exciting and significant transformation journey and you will help to lead, shape, and drive the delivery of the right learning solutions for their colleagues. Setting clear measures of success and evaluating the impact of the learning will be an important aspect of this role, and you will strong experience of shifting mindsets and behaviours to deliver improved business outcomes.
You will be an important part of the Asda Leadership & Learning function and work closely with the HR Business Partner Team to diagnose the development needs of the function you will partner, to form clearly defined learning outcomes and solutions. You will have highly developed stakeholder management skills and be comfortable working with senior leadership teams.
You will lead the ongoing learning needs assessment process for the function, and curate and/or design learning solutions to meet their priority needs. You will have the support of our award-winning learning design team to help you design learning solutions, and whilst we have a strong digital first focus, the delivery of behavioural development can also be supported by our own Asda Academy training team. You will work extensively with Asda subject matter experts but also have strong experience of managing and optimising 3rd partner provider relationships.
As part of a Centre of Expertise for Learning, the successful candidate must have:
A proven track record as a Learning Manager/Business Partner. Experience of partnering or working in a shared services environment would be desirable.
Significant experience of assessing, designing, implementing, and evaluating learning solutions.
Highly developed project and stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner with a function which is diverse and going through a significant and exciting transformation journey
Strong analytical skills – the ability to identify and articulate a compelling proposition using multiple sources of data and insight
The ability to design & curate diverse learning including: instructor led, digital, blended, experiential, media based, performance support, and other emerging technologies – but knowing you have access to a central team of designers too!
Experience of managing and optimising 3rd party provider relationships and making things happen through others
