Who we’re looking for:

We’re looking for a Manager, Learning & Development and Employee Engagement to spearhead Learning & Development, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and overall Employee Engagement for our growing team. You’ll work closely with the People Team, as well as working with and influencing the broader organization, which includes both corporate and warehouse functions.

The Manager, L&D and Employee Engagement will create a sustainable cycle of learning to support the goals and values of the company and contribute to a happy and engaged workforce.

This position is remote and will report directly to our Director, People.

How you’ll make an impact:

Learning & Development:

Assess current-state employee onboarding and training programs. Organize current content, design and prioritize a revamped training program, which may include Employee Onboarding, New Manager Training, Performance Management, etc.
Serve as an advisor and thought partner to department leaders, determining, developing and maintaining training programs that meet their team’s needs
Provide creative and effective virtual training throughout the organization.
Train subject matter experts to facilitate training and build effective user guides
Establish and maintain relationships with external training vendors as needed.

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:

Assist in the design and manage the implementation of programs and initiatives that further Odeko’s DE&I strategy and contribute to creating a more diverse and inclusive workplace
In close collaboration with the People Team and Senior Leadership, support drafting of the strategic DE&I plan through conducting research, gathering data, and other related activities
Support the creation and management of Employee Resource Groups and serve as a resource in coordinating communications, budgets and calendars
Promote a work environment that is accepting, emphasizes teamwork, a respect for differences, and giving constructive feedback

Employee Engagement:

Maintain a pulse on the full-spectrum of experiences and moments that matter across our employee lifecycle and how they impact engagement
Define and execute strategies that can articulate and embed our employee value proposition and culture throughout the organization
Create surprise and delight experiences for fully distributed employees to maintain a connection to the organization.

What you’ll bring to Odeko:

You are a creative, collaborative, results-oriented professional who is particularly adept at balancing multiple priorities
The ability to successfully monitor the “pulse” of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement
Energy & empathy needed to be able to engage with employees across levels, roles & geographies
Dedication to developing a strong, diverse, and collaborative organization.
A strong work ethic, a passion for managing the details within a growing business, and the champion processes and standards from the ground up
At least 5 years in a dedicated HR role and 2-3 years of experience designing and implementing training programs
Experience working with a national, distributed, remote workforce a plus
The ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously – orientated on results
A strong solution focus and comfortability working in an environment which demands strong deliverables.
Ability to identify problems and suggest appropriate resolutions
Strong interpersonal, oral, written communication, and data analysis skills
Practical experience designing and/or implementing DE&I programs
Experience coordinating events, managing logistics, identifying speakers, and developing agendas/materials
