Connected Learning is an emerging, but integral part of our Consultancy practice and brings together KPMG’s breadth and depth of subject matter expertise with our learning design and technology skills and capabilities to help improve individual and organisational performance. It is an exciting capability area that seeks to tackle the full breadth of clients’ learning needs.

By closely monitoring market drivers and learning trends, we have combined a best of breed technology enabled platform with a modular approach, a library of re-usable digital content and a service delivery capability. Our Learning Solutions curriculum is designed to deliver more than just training. A core part of our offering is to help clients make the connection between what their workforce has in terms of measurable skills, what they don’t have and what they need to have. This helps clients realise their immediate and future strategic business aims.
The Learning team is responsible for the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Curriculum to meet our clients’ Learning requirements. The Capability and Skills Manager is responsible for managing relevant aspects of design to ensure that courses and programmes achieve the quality standards set out in the Connect Learning ‘learning model’. They will have management of the curriculum and be responsible for the growth of the curriculum in line with each client’s capabilities.
The Capability and Skills Manager must embody KPMG’s values, act as a role model, and help build commitment and belief toward the accomplishment of the team’s goals.
Role and Responsibilities
Strategic ownership of the client’s end-to-end curriculum
Scope, develop and maintain new and existing curriculum courses or programmes as directed by the client curriculum board
Lead KPMG representative for the client’s curriculum board
Provide subject matter and design expertise to enable the completion of High level and Outline design for courses and programmes
Contribute to scoping activities for chargeable contextualisation requests by providing subject matter and design input
Manage the design of chargeable detailed contextualisation for courses and programmes within their subject areas
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with client L&D leads
Create a strong network within the KPMG supply chain
Maintain information to ensure that all work streams are able to operationalise courses and programmes
Evidence of bringing new and innovative approaches to learning design, development and delivery
Work with the Learning Architects to help plan, design, and construct learning solutions for clients
Work with clients and suppliers, and deal with detailed requirements to achieve demanding goals.
Formal L&D qualification desirable
Highly effective organisational skills
Significant attention to detail, a logical approach and the ability to meet challenging deadlines
Demonstrated experience of the successful design and delivery of substantial learning courses and programmes to high quality standards for demanding audiences
Report large complex contracts in a managed service environment
Maintain governance and a thorough knowledge of performance management frameworks
Challenge stakeholders within the finance team and the wider business
