Job Description

Role Outline
The International Relations Manager plays a central role within ADS to coordinate and execute the organisations international engagement plan. Liaising with teams across ADS, the role manages ADS international touchpoints and relationships, covering policy, governmental and wider industrial issues.
Managing key international relationships, engaging with officials from UK Government, international institutions and industry associations and fostering relationships with important international stakeholders for future partnership and collaboration.
Suitable candidates will have experience of working in international relations or related roles in public policy, international trade or government affairs, understand the international environment that ADS members are operating within and have some direct experience or wider knowledge of our sectors.
The role directly reports to the Director of Policy with no direct reports.
Role Responsibilities
Primary
Develop and lead ADS international engagement plan in collaboration with teams across ADS
Manage ADS international relationships and partnerships including those with international institutions, governmental organisations and industry associations
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including ADS members
Co-ordinate ADS engagement with ASD, the European industry association for our sectors
Manage the internal ADS international working group, working closely with team leads to ensure co-ordination on international issues and topics across the organisation
Liaise with ADS Toulouse on relevant opportunities and activities
Monitor international policy developments relevant to ADS sectors and support the development of ADS international position papers and inputs
Provide advice to ADS Directors on the external international policy, regulatory and industrial environment
Present to boards, special interest groups and at external events on ADS international issues and priorities
Secondary
Increase industry and commercial knowledge through regular member visits
Support the work of the ADS Policy Team and the ADS Sector Teams by assisting with a variety of campaigns and events
The Contract
Vacancy location: London, Albert Embankment
Hours of Work: Full Time, 37.5 hrs per week, from 9:00am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
