The Head of Financial Management and Planning will work with the Associate Director of Financial Management to provide a high quality financial management support to the organisation, advising on all technical and financial issues.
To manage the Corporate Finance team and develop Financial Management systems for the Trust, maintaining high professional standards in providing financial advice and information to Trust managers and clinicians.
The post will support the development and implementation of financial performance management information to support the production of the Trust’s Integrated Finance Report.
The post holder will be the lead the financial planning including Annual Planning, Budget Setting and development of strategic investment cases.
Support the Finance functions aspirations to become a world class finance function, by creating and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
The role will also be responsible for the preparation of the Trusts Long Term Financial Model .
The role will also deputise for the Associate Director of Financial Management as and when required.

Support the Associate Director of Financial Management in providing guidance to Groups during the annual financial start budget process including production of start budget guidance document, identifying and quantifying Service Developments and Cost Pressures, Waste Reduction Programmes (WRP’s) opportunities and Capital Bids to support the annual objectives.
Head of Financial Management and Planning will lead the financial element of the Strategic Investment cases. This will include the application of recognised investment appraisal techniques to proposals to improve decision making.
As required by the Associate Director of Financial Management the post holder will take a lead role in the development of corporate financial guidance, strategies and systems Identify opportunities to improve and develop system based working practices.
