Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Chef to cook and organize the kitchen’s activities. You will be the first in command in the deli and will create the menu and cook for the customers ensuring high quality and contentment.Our ideal candidate would be attentive, ambitious and reliable. Healthy lifestyle preferred or willing to learn about healthy eating .ResponsibilitiesControl and direct the food preparation process and any other relative activities, Clean dishes and keep the kitchen clean and sanitized .Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servingsApprove and “polish” dishes before they reach the customerPlan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortagesArrange for repairs when necessaryRemedy any problems or defectsBe fully in charge of managing and training kitchen staffOversee the work of deli teamEstimate staff’s workload , help with schedulingMaintain staff attendanceComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standardsFoster a climate of cooperation and respect between co-oworkersSkillsProven experience as chefExceptional proven ability of kitchen managementAbility in dividing responsibilities and monitoring progressOutstanding communication and leadership skillsUp-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processesGood understanding of useful computerCredentials in health and safety trainingDegree in Culinary science or related certificateJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $17.00 per hourSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payTipsCOVID-19 considerations:keeping the kitchen and deli clean and sanitized at all times , Wearing gloves and changing gloves.
