Job Description
The job will be developing and extending the functionality of an integrated data platform built in FileMaker that supports multiple lab management applications. This requires a good understanding of modular programming practices including functional and object-oriented approaches. Must be able to work within existing solution and architecture constraints to add and extend functionality; especially improving the user experience and interface design. Will work in a rapid application development environment using Agile methodologies including Scrum, pair programming, and continuous deployment. Work is performed under general direction. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives. Makes recommendations to optimize performance of software programs or information systems. May lead specific projects.

Basic Qualifications
Related Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience or equivalent related education/experience. Or, related Master’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience or equivalent related education/experience. Or, related PhD or equivalent related education/experience. Or, related JD or equivalent related education/experience.

Additional Required Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have 3-5 years FileMaker development experience. This should include developing applications on an integrated data environment utilizing data separation model best practices. Able to independently determine and develop solutions for applications.
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. Considerable knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field. Strong leadership, project management and problem solving skills. Ability to use various computer software programs.
Preferred Qualifications
FileMaker certification preferred. Strong communication and project management skills. Experience integrating web applications using javascript applications and cURL APIs with FileMaker.

Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Annual Salary Range: $75,500 – $135,900
Offers will typically be made in the bottom half of the listed range. NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
