Our company is looking for a highly organized, flexible and energetic Executive Chef. The qualified candidate will be responsible for leading the culinary team and managing our catering kitchen. We are seeking an individual to handle Off-Premises Catering, Purchasing, Inventory, Menu Writing & Design. The Executive Chef is responsible for ensuring that all food is consistent. The successful candidate must possess an exceptional level of culinary skill and creativity, be respectful of traditions and appreciate the unique culture and experience of a catering atmosphere.Details: Manage all aspects of the kitchen operation to coordinate, plan, participate, and supervise the production, preparation, and presentation of food to ensure a profitable, efficient, creative, and a consistent quality product.Knowledge of various Cuisines, menu development and food industry trends.Strong work ethic, punctual, display attention to detail, and the ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy kitchen environment.Maintain budgeted labor costs by preparing, monitoring, and overseeing employee schedules. Coordinates the work of chefs, cooks and other kitchen employees to assure that food preparation is economical.Oversee Purchasing and approves requisitions of products and food supplies. Conducts Cost Analysis to reduce food costs by negotiates with suppliers for best prices and other related kitchen costs such as maintenance/cleaning supplies and small wares as needed.Expediting of a variety of events per day.Maintain Kitchen Equipment and oversee Kitchen CleanlinessQualifications: Minimum of 5 years culinary experience and Culinary Degree preferred2+ years experience as an Executive Chef/Chef de Cuisine or in a leadership role.Ability and desire to follow process, protocol, and execute meals developed in conjunction with a sales team and customers.Food Managers/Handlers CertificationAdvanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession is required; this includes experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems and excellent oral, reading and written communication skills.Strong knowledge of food products that speak of quality, excellence and the balance of profitability.Candidate must be willing to be hands on with staff and operations and be willing to work event-based hours that include evenings and weekends.Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Suite such as Excel, Word, Outlook.Compensation is negotiable based on work experiences and qualifications.”Work Location:One locationWork RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: From $54,000.00 per yearSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:TipsAbility to commute/relocate:Dallas, TX 75235: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Culinary Experience: 5 years (Required)Executive Chef: 2 years (Required)License/Certification:Food Handler Certification (Required)Work Location: One location
