Finance and Operations
As Salesforce’s Director of Supply Chain Operations, you are responsible for driving the strategy and coordinating the day-to-day execution of our supply chain for our key technology products and services to support our infrastructure. This person will be responsible for leading a team that handles supply chain strategy, operations and global logistics. This candidate will work closely with tech and products, business technology, sourcing, suppliers, finance, and other teams to enable high quality products delivery to Salesforce location, as well as ensure perfect execution of inventory flow to support our capacity roadmap.
Develop, maintain, and grow excellent relationships at the highest levels with all suppliers, and will establish and maintain regular communications with them.
Defining the vision of Salesforce supply chain strategy and develop plans to implement it. Use an understanding of the Salesforce suppliers to convince important suppliers to support Salesforce’s programs, costs and timelines.
Act as a leader and work cross functionally with engineering, Business Technology, sourcing, finance, program managers, and business leaders to design Salesforce’s supplier network of the future.
Support sourcing in developing strategies for key commodities related to supply chain. Establish supply chain processes and policies and ensure compliance across all business units.
Partner with strategic sourcing and the business in creating strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
Analyze trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply and use emerging opportunities.
Supervise supplier performance and build out the supply chain risk matrix.
Lead the development and implementation of innovative supply chain strategies to ensure Salesforce order management and delivery are visible and on track.
Manage ongoing supply chain operations to deliver cost savings, ensure supply and achieve Salesforce’s high quality standards
Lead contract strategy across a broad range of partners and suppliers. Build and handle strategic supplier relationships along with Sourcing.
Lead and create continuous quality improvement across the product assortment
Provide guidance around demand, supply, inventory, capacity planning and product development decisions
Seek and drive implementation of technology solutions to scale our supply chain operations
Communicate at executive levels, effectively with both internal and external partners
Identify and implement opportunities to streamline operations, improve product quality and reduce cost
Develop and maintain our Global Trade and Compliance program and governance
10+ years of experience in consulting, operations, supply chain, with experience leading partnership relationships and international trade experience.
Strategic insight to understand the company’s competitive position and overall industry trends and use this information to build outstanding strategies
Good judgement and a proactive orientation to anticipate future consequences and make decisions in the face of ambiguity
Proven ability to lead sophisticated contractual negotiations with a deep understanding of financial considerations
Project management skills with an outstanding follow-up, organization, and a record of on-time delivery
Significant experience developing financial models, capacity, production, inventory management and distribution plans, and cost models to drive business decisions
A track record of using technology to improve supply chain effectiveness and the customer experience
Strong leadership skills, balancing and productively resolve contradictory demands and timelines in order to deliver against the company vision and goals
Experience managing partners to grow and support a business and experience managing fulfillment to data centers and company office locations
Excellent executive level communication and presentation skills
Able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of supply chain strategy, automation, performance improvement, and a vision for the future of Supply chain management.
Deeply analytical, using data to advise your decisions. You are as skilled at extracting and manipulating data as you are at inspiring others to model the decisions you are driving
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize a long list of equally important responsibilities and make fast decisions when vital.
Self-sufficient with a level of expertise across the supply chain to hold resources accountable to our high quality bar.
Able to successfully lead a team by effectively distributing workload across regions, supporting individual career growth, and fostering an inclusive team environment.
Able to work with others, have excellent interpersonal skills, and are a good listener

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $146,200 . You may also be entitled to receive bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
