We are expanding our beautiful practices throughout New York and California, offering telehealth and also clinic-based services.About the roleAs the Director of Revenue Cycle at Octave, you will define and execute Octave’s Revenue Cycle strategy, overseeing all front-end and back-end Revenue Cycle operations. You will collaborate with colleagues across various business areas to contribute Revenue Cycle expertise to various business objectives to ensure continuity of revenue as Octave scales and innovates. You will deliver a best-in-class experience for our clients by ensuring a seamless billing experience and timely resolution of client inquiries.You are a mission-driven and empathetic individual excited to use your Revenue Cycle expertise to build out and scale a critical function for Octave and manage a growing team. This role is great for someone who wants to leverage their prior experience and join a fast growing startup and gets excited about building and problem-solving, managing a growing team and collaborating with other departments.Responsibilities:Oversee Revenue Cycle & Billing strategy and processes at OctaveManage Octave’s Revenue Cycle & Billing team, including directly managing Revenue Cycle manager who manages billing specialistsDevise strategy for scaling the team as Octave growsBuild and maintain all Revenue Cycle processes in a manner consistent with industry best practices and in support of Octave’s projected growthAct as the Revenue Cycle liaison with other Octave departments including but not limited to working with the product development team to create and update workflows and tools, working with the clinical team to ensure communication to providers and clients is clear and timely and working with the business development team to manage onboarding new payersManage relationship with existing third party vendors and devise go-forward vendor strategyBuild a provider credentialing strategy for scale and manage provider credentialing processes on behalf of our clinicians for insurance contractsOversee Insurance Billing and Patient Billing, ensuring that all clients are billed accurately and in a timely manner following their sessionsWork collaboratively with both our clients and providers to resolve billing issues that arise in the course of businessWork with Revenue Cycle manager to build processes to reconcile & settle bills following the receipt of remittances or denials from insurance companiesWork with Revenue Cycle manager to continue to develop the insurance information collection process, including verification of benefits for Clients, as well as communication of benefits to ClientsQualifications:5+ years experience in revenue cycle leadership, 10+ years of overall experienceExperience working cross functionally and at a high levelComfort with technology and experience working with product development at prior organizationsExperience with and strong knowledge of insurance landscape (experience with mental health billing is a plus)Experience and comfort with working with ambiguityStrong analytical thinker that can translate complex data into clear actionStrong interpersonal communication skills (including experience handling customer service as well as experience communicating with executives)Experience managing direct reports and recruiting and hiring new team membersTeam player, who enjoys collaborating to develop solutionsDetailed-oriented, organized, and takes pride in the quality of their workDesire to work in a dynamic start-up environmentProficiency in Google Suite of ApplicationsApplication Instructions:Please complete the following application.
