JobSummary: The Director of Industrial Engineering and Analytics will be responsible for leading and managing labor productivity and process improvement initiatives including but not limited to developing and implementing labor productivity standards, automation, process standardization, cost-reduction, and DC capital improvement initiatives. In partnership with the DC Management, will also conduct financial feasibility studies related to capital equipment and investment required to support current and future business needed for the Monroe/Reno Distribution Centers.
Establish key performance metrics driving supply chain performance in the areas of on time delivery, service quality, cost, and quality compliance.Identify and lead projects to analyze and evaluate existing Distribution Center Storage/Work Area/Conveyor Design and will make recommendations to improve capacity, efficiency, and safety.
Develop proposals and capital requests for necessary building and infrastructure development and upgrades.Manage the overall capital budget and projects; track and report on spending; initiate corrective action on project over-runs.
Conduct time studies, network analysis, statistical analysis, flow path analysis and supply chain analysis.Analyze information to identify opportunities for improvements and optimizations. Prepare and deliver thorough recommendations.
Lead/Manage, develop, and implement processes and methods for product and labor forecasting, staffing, modeling performance reporting and tracking, and other ad-hoc reporting as required to support distribution center labor management.Partners in the design, development, and operational success of our Omni Channel warehouse automation capabilities.
Governs good planning business practices – Network and capacity planning, Business case development, budgeting, and post audits.Works effectively and collaboratively with internal and external cross functional teams.Creates and presents recommendations and solutions broadly and effectively – Influential leadership.
Expert level for advanced technology and softwareStrategic Pre assessment evaluations and alternatives to achieve business objectives
Solutions development and delivery, ROI, total cost of ownership, optimized, scalable, process engineering systems integration, project implementation, commissioning, support.A solid understanding of warehousing practices, applied mathematical modeling, inventory control practices, and distribution network management will be a PLUS.Experience reengineering existing solutions.Strong team leadership adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.Communicate effectively in a variety of settings with members of the Company at all levels.Ability to work in a collaborative and cross-functional team environment.Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent work experience.3+ years of leading diverse teams and effectively influencing othersSix Sigma Certification a plus.
