Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing is searching for a Digital & Social Marketing Associate (Kids) to manage our parent-focused social media channels as part of our digital marketing department. The Associate will also work with the Senior Digital & Social Marketing Manager (Kids) on developing and executing digital marketing plans for all board book, picture book, chapter book and middle grade titles as well as parent-focused influencer marketing efforts.
Job responsibilities include:
Daily management of @SimonKids social channels, including planning, creating, and posting content, writing copy, engaging with followers, maximizing reach, growing audience, and regularly reporting on stats/results
Creating native social content such as Instagram Reels, Instagram Stories, Instagram photos, memes, and any other photos/videos for use on social media channels
Brainstorming and executing title-specific digital marketing campaigns and maintaining up-to-date digital marketing plans for children’s books
Manage the Simon Kids social influencer program, including research, outreach, communication, mailings, and tracking coverage in coordination with the Senior Digital & Social Marketing Manager (Kids)
Manage the creation of book roundups and programmable pages on the Simon & Schuster website

2-3 years of job experience in social media or marketing role
Understanding of and passion for social media and high comfort level with all major platforms (Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
Demonstrable knowledge of the children’s publishing landscape, including competitive environment
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Extremely detail oriented
Strong written and verbal communications skills
