Experience in leading and negotiating mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions and/or investments.

MBA degree or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in working on cross-border transactions, and working in one or more EMEA regions.
Experience within the technology industry; Internet, communications, or e-commerce experience.
Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, including experience building financial models and valuing companies.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to speak and write in other European languages (e.g. French, Spanish, German, etc.) fluently.

The Corporate Development team drives Google’s worldwide growth by identifying exciting acquisition and strategic investment opportunities – and then work to make them happen. Consisting of experienced merger-and-acquisition leaders, investment professionals, strategy specialists, and integration experts, we are dedicated to identifying the business opportunities of tomorrow. We find and evaluate acquisition and strategic investment opportunities across existing and future markets, drive management team decisions, lead agreement facilitations, and help manage post-acquisition integration and performance evaluation.
As a Corporate Development Deal Lead, you’ll work collaboratively across functions (including Product, Legal, Finance, and People Operations) to identify, evaluate, and help facilitate and develop strategic opportunities across EMEA. You’ll provide the management team with the needed insight to drive intelligent, sound decision-making, while understanding the industry landscape and regional nuances, and harnessing them to manage our facilitations and integrations.

Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
Build connections with regional investor and start-up ecosystems. Identify, evaluate, and value strategic opportunities in EMEA.
Drive management team decisions. Interface with Google Product and Engineering teams, and collaborate with geographically dispersed colleagues.
Help lead agreement facilitations and execution.
Manage post-acquisition integration.
Serve as a board member or observer regarding regional strategic initiatives and opportunities.
