Job Description

The Building and Estate Services section supports the estate and facility infrastructure of the Department, from the strategic to the operational, and covers property management, capital projects, maintenance, environmental sustainability, safety, security, cleaning and catering.
We are seeking a Cleaning Manager who will be responsible for managing the cleaning and portering functions in the Department, across both sites in Trumpington Street and West Cambridge, to ensure that facilities are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition as well as ensuring that minor maintenance and room set-up are carried out efficiently.
You will have an A-Level standard of education/NVQ level 3 vocational qualifications or equivalent level of practical experience and a NEBOSH General Certificate would also be desirable. Previous experience in cleaning and staff management is required as well as experience of risk assessment methodology. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle customer queries in an appropriate manner, are also essential requirements for this role.
