Job Description
A growing US Mail Hauler in Van Nuys and Castaic, CA is looking for Part Time Class A Tractor Trailer Truck Drivers with exposure to US Mail hauling and/or operations. Enjoy the opportunity to stay local within the San Fernando Valley and vicinity, with steady pay and come home every night! Drivers from the Antelope/Piru-Fillmore/Kern/San Fernando Valley areas are encouraged to apply!QUALIFICATIONS: Education, Licensing and Certifications :Must be 25 years or older.Must have good driving record (MVR)Possession of a valid Commercial Class A Driver’s License.1 year or more of recent Class A driving experience.Pre-Employment Requirements: Ability to pass USPS background check.Must submit to drug testing and a criminal background check.Ability to pass a DOT physical including functional capacity exam.Daily Operational Detail: All runs start in Van Nuys and Castaic, CA. Driver shall bobtail tractor or from company yard (s) to the distribution center and hook to a designated trailer and park at a designate dock.Load Mail carts onto a 53 foot trailer and unload at a local post office or nearby Distribution centers. Return to the Main hub for additional runs and bobtail back to the yard to end dayRuns are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week: Weekdays, night and day, and weekendsSchedule: Shifts Available:Saturday AM (0100-0800)Saturday PM (2PM-8:30PM),Saturday (7:30PM to 2:30AM),Sunday (530AM to 0900AM)Sunday (5AM to 1PM)Sunday (8:30PM to 5:30AM)Compensation: Class A Tractor Trailer: $24.75 + $5.03 in Benefit Pay (paid up to 40 hours per week) – Benefit Pay is used to offset monthly health insurance or 401K premiums.
