Position Summary:
This position supports the mission of Presbyterian/St Luke’s Medical Center of optimizing the quality of life of all those served by expanding beyond the traditional focus on medical needs to the needs of the whole person. The Executive Chef oversees all functions of food production for retail and patient services. These activities include all food production activities, ordering food and supplies, secured receipt and quality assured storage, menu adjustment and execution, recipe and production quality assurance, proper storage of leftovers and review of days activities, financial control of products, food borne illness and safety program procedures adherence.
When need arises, will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications
Position Requirements:
Licensure/Certification/Registration: None.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Prefer, additional training including two years of college or Culinary degree.

Experience: Minimum of two years supervisory/management experience in Food Services or food production preferred.
Special Qualifications: Must show good judgment and reliability. Must be able to perform multiple tasks at the same time. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must possess strong planning, organization, managing, time management and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives. Must demonstrate personal and professional integrity. Ability to anticipate and resolve problems in a positive manner.
