Position Summary and Responsibilities
The Business Development Representative will work closely with both marketing and sales to support programs targeting specific market segments and customer accounts as well as assisting with the planning and delivery of material to various sales channels including reviewing it’s effectiveness to improve future content development.
The role will also give the opportunity to work directly on customer sales and having ownership of their own sales opportunities. The position will require self-discipline and personal drive to hit sales quotas and ensure customers are being developed through a sales pipeline.
Development of new business:
Working with sales teams and marketing to assist with finding and contacting new customers
Recording and tracking the progress of new business generated from initiatives and campaigns and reporting to sales and marketing managers
Responsible for qualifying new business from leads and target customers
Responsible for sales opportunities that are allocated by their sales manager
Ensuring all sales data is up to date in the CRM and meets company standards
Assisting with the loaning of demo equipment and management of long-term loan equipment
Providing support to customer/distribution channels, such as product recommendations, pricing information and being able to refer to technical support where needed
Assisting with the planning and delivery of account-specific promotions
Assisting in the planning and delivery process of all ‘account-based marketing’ material
Reformatting existing technical notes, customer stories and product pages to combine into new material specific to campaigns, accounts, or customers
Assisting with direct-marketing tactics to engage customers with the purpose of qualifying for sales or obtaining user-generated content
Reviewing the success of all content and obtaining feedback to consistently develop all content and the delivery process
BSc or above in Biology, Physics or Chemistry
Competent with Windows and Microsoft products
Excellent customer relationships and interpersonal skills
Sales Experience a strong positive
