If that’s you, please keep reading!Cathedral Capital (CathCap) is looking for a skilled Bookkeeper to provide daily and monthly bookkeeping services to our clients. Working closely with our Client Services Team to set up and process payroll, post accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank accounts, manage invoices and tax payments. Our ideal candidate has a curious nature and holds an accounting degree or certification and has experience with Quickbooks Online and related integrations. Preference will be given to a candidate with experience in the legal industry.CathCap has a close team environment despite many working remotely. During weekly team meetings, client problems are discussed to benefit from the collective wisdom of the group. Each team member is known for their special skills and often pitch in with teammates’ clients to better meet client needs. New programs and increased opportunities for employees have grown out of these collaborations.This position has many perks, the biggest of which is the ability to set your own schedule. All Bookkeepers work from home and can schedule calls with clients and team members at times which are mutually convenient which means that school plays, field trips, vacations, and other family obligations can be easily met.Responsibilities include:Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting processVerify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledgerBring the books to the trial balance stageComplete tax formsProcess accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely mannerQualifications and abilities:Proven bookkeeping experienceAttention to detailCurious natureAbility to switch from one company to another quickly and juggle multiple firms at one timeRecognize discrepancies and errors in data and infoRespond to work errors in a professional mannerSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyProficient in Excel, Word and QuickBooks.
