Overview:

This AVP is responsible for architecting, designing, and delivering solutions that solve business problems, while aligning to enterprise standards. In this role, you will define and maintain emergent design to help ensure the system under development is fit for its intended purpose. This position works closely with Business Owners, Enterprise Architects, Product Owners and Software Engineering Agile teams on our Proprietary Platform, and Packaged Insurance suite products.This AVP will be responsible for Designing and Developing our Digital Products. Digital Products will be enabled by our Digital Enablement Platform. You will be coaching tech leads, developers while providing strategy to the teams.
Responsibilities:

JOB DUTIES
Proposing and managing budgets for projects
Supervising the work of multiple teams
Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time
Researching and developing designs and products
Determining the need for training and talent development
Hiring contractors and building teams
Ensuring products have the support of upper management
Providing clear and concise instructions to engineering teams
Incorporates testing and thinks about reliability as a natural part of delivering working software
Perform other duties as assigned
Conform with all company policies and procedures
Qualifications:

Knowledge
Experienced with several programming paradigms
Solid knowledge of databases, SQL, and version control tools
Experience with release systems and CI/CD,
Experience with Docker, Jenkins, Github tools, etc,
Willing to work in Startup like environment
Deep understanding of technologies used in our stack, client-server architecture, and web technol
Adequate understanding of infrastructure and devops
Able to design and architect maintainable and scalable technical systems
Skills

Identify opportunities, facilitate ideation, and champion initiatives that deliver measurable business value
Present team strategies and accomplishments to senior executives and peers

Education
High School Diploma required
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
Experience
7-10 years app development and technology delivery experience required
5-7 years management and/or leadership experience required
