Vacancy : Associate Head of Development (Early Years)
Company Location : Home Based

Job Description

The NSPCC’s purpose is to prevent cruelty to children across the UK and Channel Islands; we have been fighting for childhood for the last 130 years.

Our strategy launched in 2021 sets out how we will work together in partnership to reach more children and prevent abuse and neglect. By working together with communities we will be nationally significant and locally relevant.

We will focus on the following areas of impact over the next ten years:

Everyone plays their part to prevent child abuse
Every child is safe online
Children feel safe, listened to and are supported

We are looking to appoint to three posts that are critical to supporting this new strategy through the development, delivery and testing of a range of services and programmes and through the development of new partnerships.

Associate Head of Development (Child Sexual Abuse)
Associate Head of Development (Prevention of abuse and neglect in the Early Years)
Partnerships Development Manager

The Associate Head roles sit within our Development and Implementation Team in our Strategy and Knowledge Directorate. We are looking for ambitious thought leaders who are able to contribute to the organisations strategic narrative on the named subjects. We are looking for subject matter expertise coupled with a wide range of experience of developing new services and programmes from concept. The right candidate will have an understanding of the contexts and systems into which NSPCC services and programmes may eventually be scaled, experience of partnership working and a dynamic approach to iterative testing and development.

The Partnerships Development Manager role sits within our Services Directorate in the Partnerships and Development department. This is an exciting opportunity as a Development Manager in an ambitious and energetic newly established team. You will work to create strong partnerships with communities and other organisations, influence change for children, and realise our strategic goals. The role will focus on our priority areas of prevention of abuse and neglect in the early years, and the prevention of child sexual abuse. This is the perfect opportunity to build on NSPCC learning and for the role to influence and achieve change at a system level to improve outcomes for children. You will bring expertise in service development and implementation, as well as a keen interest in the prevention of abuse, and a curiosity and knowledge of what works.

For all roles we will be holding a 2 stage recruitment process in March 2022.
