JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition Title: Accounts Payable ClerkDepartment: AccountingClassification/Time Requirement: Part-timeReports to: Assistant ControllerPOSITION SUMMARYThis position is responsible for keeping and reporting accurate data to support accounts receivable, accounts payable and all financial services support under the directions of the CFO and Accounting Manager. This position is also responsible for various administrative duties for the accounting department.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, character and/or ability required.BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field preferred.Ability to take directions and work in a team environment.Must be able to communicate with superiors and coworkers in a respectful and professional manner.Possess excellent organizational, communication skills and understanding of office protocol.Great attention to detail with high level of accuracyGood with numbers and ability to use, interpret and communicate mathematical information. This position is responsible for the following…Answer telephones and route calls as appropriate.Scan and file accounting documents.Code, enter, and pay all bills in an accurate and timely manner.Update accounts receivable and issue invoices.Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations.Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate.Work closely with vendors to maintain accurate accounts.Assist Accounting manager in preparation of monthly/yearly closingsPerforms any other related, unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, out of the ordinary or special duties that may be assigned.Work RemotelyNoJob Type: Part-timePay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hourPhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:Monday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
