Job Description

Landmark Hospitals has an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dedicated and professional team, where we are committed to providing the highest level of customer service and quality of care to our patients. We are searching for a motivated and experienced AP Clerk who is still eager to learn and grow with the company.
Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
Code the invoices
Process 3 way P.O. matching invoices, up to 100 plus line items
Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
Complete weekly check runs
Process check requests
Audit and process credit card bills
Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
Respond to all vendor inquiries and maintain 1099 files
Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
Assist in month end closing
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
High school diploma/GED
College courses in Accounting preferred
Minimum 1-5 years of accounts payable experience
Knowledge of applicable accounts payable/general ledger systems & procedures and basic accounting principles
Strong computer skills; MS Office, 10-key by touch, typing 60-65 wpm
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail a must
Problem solving, documentation, research & resolution, mathematical and analytical skills a must
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
