About the Role:

We are looking for an organized accounting professional with strong reconciliation and communication skills, the ability to think outside the box and function in a fast-paced startup environment.

The accounts payable associate must be able to reconcile utility billings to the properties that they belong to. The accounts payable associate must be able to communicate with local utility companies across multiple cities to coordinate the activation and deactivation of cable, internet, electricity, water and gas accounts for rental properties.

We are looking for a person that will be able to hit the ground running by utilizing organization, communication and accounting skills, an inquisitive nature, a keen eye for detail, a passion for teamwork and a winning attitude.

Role and Responsibilities:

Work hand in hand with installation managers to schedule all necessary utilities for new properties and record account information in our homegrown database
Reconcile utility billings to the appropriate properties on a monthly basis
Manage payment methods for all utility accounts
Work with utility companies to identify opportunities for cost savings, reporting and consolidations
Assist in other accounts payable tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

An Associates Degree in Accounting/Business or relevant experience
2+ years experience in a vendor/customer relationship role
2+ years experience in an accounts payable role
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to work closely with a remote team in a time sensitive environment
