Reports to Accounting Supervisor and ControllerGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOBTo support the Accounting team in carrying out the responsibilities of the department. This position primarily handles general ledger review and reconciliation.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide support in the following:Accounting of inter-company transactions.Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations.Maintenance of accounts (eg fixed assets, prepayments, accrual, intercompany) schedules.Month-end and Year-end closing.Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies.Secure financial information by completing database backups and keeping information confidential.Review of Project Reports and requirements.Provision of project and other company compliance or requirements.Assist in the maintenance of project and accounting files.Perform ad-hoc projects as needed.SKILLS AND ABILITIESBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.Experience in QuickBooks, Sage 100 and Course work in job costing preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.Must have strong communication skills.Team player and can work independently.Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insuranceVision insurancePhysical Setting:OfficeSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
